As the founder of Dougherty Land, I constantly feel a strong connection to Colorado, something that's been passed down through our family for four generations now. I cherish the time spent growing up in Metro Denver and attending college at Colorado State University; these experiences were incredibly important in helping me develop a love for this amazing state. After living and working abroad, the decision to move back to Colorado in 2011 was an easy one, and perfect timing with starting Dougherty Land Co. Being able to combine our passion for real estate development together with our wish to help build Denver into one of the most beloved cities in the world has been especially gratifying - like two dreams merging. With my personal connection to Denver, it is even more satisfying knowing that we are spending our time having a positive impact on this great city.
In the past decade, we have developed a team of experienced professionals whom we trust, allowing us to manage all stages of real estate development projects. Our team consists of consultants, marketing experts, realtors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers, who work together from the inception of each project - assessing the feasibility and land acquisition through design, permitting, and construction to final sales and closeout. At Dougherty Land Co, our team has a bold ambition to create a total portfolio of $500 million to be achieved in the next 10 years, while improving communities of Denver. This portfolio will consist of residential and mixed-use projects ranging from single family spec homes to large scale townhomes, and apartments. Our goal is more than just bringing profits—we are determined to provide communities with an environment for living that adds value for years to come. By reviving the built environment and enhancing the social life around it, we seek to cultivate an atmosphere of enthusiasm and appreciation among those who live in or near our projects.
